Mariposa artist Vicki D. Thomas prefers watercolors because of the lightness and transparency of colors that flow into washes, as they blend Many images have appeared on various giftware items such as teapots, tea infusers, tapestries and music boxes. She also has prints and cards.

The artist enjoys painting children and adults and is known to have an attraction for fantasy and whimsical themes. Her experience drawing people comes from many years as a fashion illustrator when she had her own business in Los Angeles.

For several decades, Vicki has exhibited at numerous galleries, art shows and in art competitions, where she received awards in juried shows.

Presently, her work can be seen at Willow Bridge Books and United Security Bank, Oakhurst; Mariposa County Arts Council and the Birds Nest Tea Shop, Mariposa; Senators Cogdill and Berryhill's Fresno Offices.
